Our Children's Ministry . . .  

is committed to providing a strong biblical foundation for children, birth through 6th grade, and equip teachers and parents with curriculum, training, and prayer support.

Teaching preschoolers and children is like constructing a building. It is our desire to assist parents in creating a strong base and a strong foundation for future understanding. The Bible is the foundation for all of our teaching.

In all events including regular Sunday and Wednesday activities, we intend to provide a safe and fun atmosphere that enhances the relationships of families through Christian-based, character building activities.

As our Whiz Kids Tutoring comes to a close for the 2011-12 School Year, we'll celebrate with a picnic for our Whiz Kids, their Families and all of our Tutors and Whiz Kids Support Staff!

We're looking for volunteers that would love to help prepare, serve and tidy up after the picnic. Call the church office or e-mail Gina at gmckean@portlandavenue.org for more information.

Vacation Bible School

Kids who have completed Kindergarten thru 8th Grade will encounter
God's Awesome Power each day as they navigate through A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
Bible stories, crafts, missions, recreation, snacks and music!

PraiZone - 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Kids, age 3 1/2  thru 6th grade, will have fun learning new songs, memorizing scripture, and participating in musical games & activities.

Classes are divided into three age groups:

TINY TUNERS: Preschoolers age 3 1/2 thru Kindergarten - Room 314

MUSIC MAKERS: Grades 1-3 - Room 317

YOUNG MUSICIANS: Grades 4-6 - Room 326

Each group will participate in age appropriate activities that will enhance their learning skills.
