Opportunities
Portland Avenue offers opportunities for every member of your family to meet with people their age. We offer children's ministry for children from age 1 to grade 6 every Sunday and Wednesday. Our youth group, which includes students from grade 7 to 12, meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 and every Wednesday night at 6:30. We offer multiple classes for men, women, couples, senior adults, and for college and career students.
Dress
We want our church to feel comfortable and accepted when they worship with us. We do ask that our attendees dress modestly and respectfully. Most of our men will be wearing jeans and a shirt. Most of our ladies will either be wearing pants or a longer skirt/dress with shirts/blouses/cardigans.
Worship
Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary. We love hymns, but we also love to sing new songs to the Lord as the Psalmist mentions in Psalm 96. We believe in making a joyful noise in order to please the Lord. Typically, worship will be lead with a piano, guitar, synths, and drums, and led by our worship minister.

We will have a connection card available that you can put in the offering tray, but we would also love to shake your hand and talk with you! Pastor Harvey will be in the south lobby after each service and he would be delighted to meet you!
